How to Compare Formula Costs Fairly

Use audited total cost per 100 prepared calories, with exact products and preparation yield.

Compare the same useful quantity

Our future pricing method will compare cost per 100 prepared calories. Powder-ounce prices can be misleading when preparation yields differ. Record exact SKU, net powder mass, number of containers, preparation yield and total prepared calories before calculating.

The US labeling requirements specify nutrient information per 100 kilocalories. Pricing must use supported preparation and energy information for the exact package; ingredient-list presence cannot supply nutrient quantities.

Keep the arithmetic reviewable

Cost per 100 prepared kcal = actual total package cost ÷ total prepared kcal ×100.

This is our planned comparison method, not a current product result. Record currency, retailer, location, membership, shipping, fees, promotions, availability and check time alongside the price. Third-party marketplace offers need seller and authorized-inventory verification.

No price tiers yet

Historical snapshots are retained privately for provenance. They are not current offers, standardized costs or dollar-sign tiers. This integration activates none of them.

The pricing structure is separate from research and approval records. A later audit must define reproducible thresholds before any tier is assigned. Retail availability and affiliate commissions cannot affect editorial assessments; recalled products cannot receive purchase links.

General formula research supports informed questions. Specialized feeding needs and diagnosed allergies require clinical guidance for the infant and exact product.
